Trace Caddo Parish News Mugshots

A Caddo Parish mugshot can surface in many places. A sheriff's press release, a weekly radio post, a TV crime story, or an old private archive might all show one. None covers every arrest. Each outlet picks its own events and publication windows. To verify what you see, start with the outlet's date and stated source. Then match it to the correct jail record, and finish with the court file. Some lawful booking photos stay out of public view. Louisiana exceptions allow others to be displayed.

Caddo Parish Official Crime News

The CPSO press-release archive is the best place to start for sheriff-provided narratives. Filters by month and year help you find an item fast. A typical release names the investigation, the arresting agency, the booking destination, and an agency contact. Releases come out as events happen, though. The archive is not a daily booking feed. Treat it as one source among several.

CPSO sometimes includes a photograph when Louisiana law allows publication. A release date tells you nothing about how a case later resolved. The official CPSO archive shows its filters and release format here:

The live CPSO release is always the authority for its own words and images. For what happened after the announced arrest, turn to the Caddo Clerk or DA record instead.

Caddo News and Mugshot Outlets

Local outlets work in very different formats. Some publish a single investigation. Others gather a week of booking images into one post, and a few preserve an older daily gallery. Read each outlet's own sourcing and cadence carefully. An editorial page, no matter how thorough, is not an official jail record.

No dedicated booking-photo feed could be confirmed for the Times, KTBS, KTAL/KMSS, or the Journal. Treat their pages as story leads. They are not full Caddo Parish arrest logs.

Weekly Caddo Booking News

Local radio has turned into a reliable home for Caddo booking galleries. The 710 KEEL Crime News section runs a weekly roundup of people booked and held at Caddo Correctional Center. Each gallery carries the Sheriff's Office credit. The posts cover one week at a time. Treat them as a snapshot of a custody window, not a full archive.

You can browse the recurring feature in the 710 KEEL Crime News category:

Always check the date span and CPSO credit on each post. Outlets can pause the feature, change the selection, or leave an old story online after custody changes. The current CCC roster and court file take priority.

KSLA keeps a current crime section. It also has an archived September 2017 Caddo jail booking post. That archive shows an older daily format existed, nothing more. K945 has a historical weekly gallery too, with no confirmed present cadence.

From Caddo Story to Record

A news report gives you a lead, not a file. Expect a name, date, agency, alleged charge, and sometimes a booking destination. Each detail points to a different record custodian. Keep the chain in order. An old story then won't get mistaken for current custody.

  1. Record the story’s publication date, event date, full name, agency, and stated jail.
  2. For City Jail intake, open the Shreveport dated booking report for that event window.
  3. For Caddo Correctional Center custody, check the CPSO current-inmate roster and matching detail.
  4. Use a CPSO or city records request when the booking has aged off or the report is missing.
  5. Search the Caddo Clerk daily docket or criminal case access, then compare the DA case search.
  6. Read the latest minutes, filing, or judgment for the disposition rather than relying on the original charge.

The county booking and roster treatment explains why Shreveport's dated reports and CPSO's current roster are not interchangeable. A person can move from one system to the other, or leave both, while a prosecution is still active.

How Caddo Photos Reach News

Louisiana keeps booking photos on a short leash. Act 494 and Code of Criminal Procedure article 234 bar agencies from releasing them unless an exception applies. One exception covers fugitives. That kicks in when an agency believes a published photo will help track someone down. Others cover an imminent threat, a judge's order, certain serious offenses, a qualifying conviction or plea, or a request from the subject or the subject's attorney.

CPSO announced a policy in 2022. It puts eligible images on its current-inmate interface and app. A booking record can be genuine even when the roster shows only a placeholder. News outlets get their photos in several ways. These include a legally published agency image, a copy of an earlier public version, or a picture supplied with a story. An outlet keeping a photo on display says nothing about whether CPSO still publishes it, or whether the charge still stands.

Note: A yes/no image field in a Shreveport report is not itself a public photograph.

Caddo Court Follow-Through

The Caddo daily docket lists defendant, time, date, courtroom, judge, and section. It helps you locate a hearing. It does not replace full minutes or a signed judgment. The DA case search takes a first name, last name, or docket number. It warns that results are provided as-is.

For deeper detail, use the Clerk's Criminal Court page. It holds indexed case information, court minutes, scanned documents, and expungement instructions. Indexed criminal cases begin in 1980, minutes in 1984, and scanned criminal documents in 2002. Those ranges make the court layer especially useful when a news post is older than a live roster entry.

Booking charge
The charge entered at jail intake.
Arraignment
The court hearing at which a plea is entered.
Disposition
The final outcome of the case.
Expungement
A court process that limits access to an eligible arrest or case record under Louisiana law.

For a result that matters, get the actual court record. A headline, docket row, or private index can omit later action.

Caddo Crime Trend Caution

Numbers from CPSO need a caveat. The agency's 2025 annual report says it switched to a new reporting system built around national standards. It flags that the change makes 2023 and 2024 comparisons shaky. So a shift in the stats may reflect paperwork, not crime.

Different sources also count different things. A weekly gallery shows an editorial set of people booked and held at CCC that week. A crime-statistics release counts recorded events under its own rules. Treat them as separate yardsticks. Mixing the two is how a false trend gets born.

Before trusting a percentage in a Caddo news story, open the linked report. Check the period, the definitions, which agency is covered, and whether a system change falls in the gap. That habit keeps a software transition from turning into a claim about public safety.

Unofficial Caddo Mugshot Archives

Private archives can help you pin down a date, but every one of them trails official sources. RecentlyBooked says its Caddo page covers the prior 30 days and refreshes several times a day. Mugshots.com runs a long-standing Caddo index. Arrests.org offers county searches with dated paths. JailRosters keeps dated private PDF snapshots. None of those update claims has been audited by CPSO, so read them as the publishers' own statements.

Two gaps are worth knowing. Busted Newspaper's Louisiana index had no Caddo section, and Mugshots Zone showed no Caddo page either. A Bossier record that mentions a Caddo warrant is still Bossier coverage. Those lines matter. They keep a neighboring-parish page from getting mislabeled as Caddo.

Private pages lag releases, keep old photos, reshape fields, and drop case outcomes. RecentlyBooked and JailRosters publish free correction routes; clear free procedures for the other indexes were not confirmed. Never pay a removal operator on a promise or a threat. Gather agency and court proof first, work each publisher's free policy, then ask for a stale search result to be refreshed once the live source changes.

Official sources first: Treat every private Caddo index as a lead, never as current custody or a court judgment.

Caddo City News Coverage

Shreveport gives residents the clearest city-level record. Its City Jail publishes dated reports. KSLA, KEEL, the Times, KTBS, KTAL/KMSS, and the Journal all build stories around Shreveport and the wider parish. Before a record heads to CCC or the courts, the city report can confirm the stated intake window.

Blanchard and Greenwood sit in a different spot. Both have official police contacts, but no public daily booking blotter turned up. Parish outlets may still cover their cases. CPSO releases document examples that ended in a CCC booking. One caution: a private county page listing a city in an address field proves nothing about which agency made the arrest.

When a story points to City Jail, use the dedicated Shreveport booking path. For Blanchard or Greenwood, start with the named police agency. Then check CPSO and the Caddo court record. That preserves the real local difference instead of forcing all three cities into one feed.
